Documenting National Health: Bangladesh EPI Campaign

Social Impact & Public Health Documentation November 28, 2025

As a photographer for Bangladesh's Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) campaign, I had the privilege of documenting a vital national effort. The experience offered an intimate look at the dedication required to ensure every child receives their essential, free vaccinations (tika). My camera captured scenes of hope and resilience across various health centers in Bangladesh.

The atmosphere was consistently dynamic, filled with healthcare professionals working tirelessly and families waiting patiently. These images tell a powerful story of a community united by a singular purpose: safeguarding the future health of the next generation. The campaign’s efficiency in delivering life-saving vaccines like the MR and pentavalent doses highlights the success of Bangladesh's public health infrastructure.

Visually capturing the hope and resilience present in a nationwide public health mission.

Witnessing the seamless operation of the EPI program instilled a deep sense of pride. This project was more than a photography assignment; it was an opportunity to visually capture a cornerstone of national health security. The resulting images are a testament to the power of accessible healthcare and community commitment.
