Early Life & Inspirations

Born on October 9, 1975 in Jatrabari, Faridpur, Bishwajit Sarker grew up in a warm, nature-filled village community. Though he studied Social Science, his heart was irresistibly drawn to visual art. His early passion for photography led him to train in television camera operation, lighting, and portrait photography—laying the groundwork for a creative journey built on curiosity, discipline, and artistic ambition.

Breaking Into Photography

Bishwajit began his professional path in the mid-1990s as a journalist, working with The Daily Ittesal and Pronadana. These experiences sharpened his storytelling instincts, but photography soon became his true calling. As Chief Photographer at Anyadin, he developed a distinctive visual signature through portraits and editorial coverage that quickly made his work recognizable.

Fashion & Commercial Photography

Since 2002, Bishwajit has been the Official Photographer for Anjans, one of Bangladesh’s premier fashion houses. From orchestrating studio and outdoor shoots to managing lighting, set styling, and creative direction, he has played a key role in defining the brand’s visual identity.

In 2003, he expanded his impact by becoming the Official Photographer for Kay Kraft, capturing a refined blend of traditional and contemporary Bengali aesthetics. His collaboration with stylists, art directors, and editorial teams, paired with expert post-production work, results in consistently polished and captivating imagery.
