Bishwajit Sarker

Interview: Bishwajit Sarker’s Photography Journey (Part 1)

What keeps a photographer passionate for nearly three decades? For Bishwajit Sarker from Bishwajit Photography, it is the constant search for the “perfect photograph.” His journey began in childhood, inspired by his uncle who loved taking photos. When his father received a camera from a friend abroad, Bishwajit started experimenting and quickly gained appreciation for his early work. The full interview was originally featured on JugerChinta24.

In 1996, he began using an SLR camera and started taking small professional assignments during the film photography era. His career grew in 1997 when he joined Anyadin magazine as a photographer. There, he explored many areas including celebrity photography, sports photography, and lifestyle photography. Over time, he discovered his true passion in fashion and glamour photography.

This passion led him to open his own studio, which became a hub for professional shoots, celebrity portfolios, and creative projects. Even after years of experience, Bishwajit says he is still chasing that one perfect photograph.

Bishwajit also shared the challenges photographers face today. He believes patience, dedication, and physical fitness are essential for anyone in this field. While modern technology has made photography easier, excessive editing sometimes reduces the authenticity of images. What began as a childhood passion has now become his lifelong profession.

From childhood curiosity to a thriving photography studio, Bishwajit Sarker’s story reminds us that dedication and love for the craft can turn a simple passion into a lifelong profession.
